Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it Snow… This was the idea that came to me one day when I was thinking of nice Christmas decorations for my bedroom. So I gathered all of my net window sets and net curtains designs with plain white colors. I hung them beautifully and sit on a chair thinking how I can make my room look like a White Christmas.
I took some papers and started drawing and cutting paper doves, snow flakes and some other Christmas paper decorations. Once they’re ready I connected them together with strings and hung them on my net window sets and net curtains designs. I threw in more paper snow flakes and colored the edges with Christmas colors and sewed them carefully on the net window sets. And then I took some net curtains designs. Also white in color and hung it on my walls where the fireplace is so it looks like a backdrop and put a simple white Christmas tree decorated with Christmas flowers.
When I was finished, I sat down to admire what I did. That was when I noticed that two pairs of my white net curtains designs were tattered. I remember that these were the net window sets that our cat played with half a year ago. But I didn’t throw them out because I was sure there is something I can do with them. That’s when an idea hits me. I took the old and tattered net window sets and started cutting them into circles. Then I took some colorful Christmas balls and started wrapping them with the net curtains designs I cut; and hung them on the tree. The room still has the Snow Theme but now with a twist. I was so pleased to see that whether the net window sets and net curtains designs are old or new, you can still make something out of it.
I sat down again and looked at some tattered net window sets left. I started cutting the once fabulous net curtains designs and sewed them with velvet red colored net window sets and decided to put them in my son’s bedroom where the theme was a little vivid and colorful. The net curtains designs that have cut patterns of snow flakes now hung beautifully and colorfully on the walls. My son absolutely loved them.
Next, I went to the living room and got about 3 sets of white net curtains designs. I alternated them with the red ones and hung them on the walls beside the fireplace. I hung all of our individual colorful Christmas socks on the white net curtains designs. Then I got several net window sets with different colors and decorated them with the white cut snow flakes patterns. It’s funny how the net window sets became more noticeable than the other Christmas decorations that were there before I hung the curtains.
These decorations I finished were all just accidental. They were just a product of an imagination that gone so wild. So I encourage you to think out of the box and make use of even the most useless things around the house. You’d be surprise on what you can do.
